Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
KAIVA, operated by 林大貴 (Daiki Hayashi), respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why. Business details are on our Business Information page.
1. Information we collect
- Account: your name, email and password (stored hashed).
- Requests: the items you ask for, links, notes and any reference photo you upload.
- Shipping: your shipping address and phone number, so we can quote and deliver.
- Transactions: order and payment records (see Payments below).
- Technical: basic log/cookie data needed to run the site and keep you signed in.
2. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. KAIVA never receives or stores your full card number; we keep only a payment reference and the amount.
3. How we use your information
To search for and purchase your items in Japan, quote prices, take payment, ship to you, provide support, send service emails (confirmations, quotes, receipts, shipping updates), prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, with:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Shipping carriers and Japanese sellers/shops — to purchase and deliver your order (e.g. your delivery address).
- Cloudflare — hosting, database and image storage.
- Resend — sending our emails.
We do not sell your personal information. Product search uses Yahoo! Shopping data and does not send them your personal details.
5. International transfer & storage
KAIVA operates from Japan and uses global infrastructure (Cloudflare, Stripe). Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. We take reasonable steps to protect it in transit and at rest.
6. Retention
We keep account and order records for as long as needed to operate the service and satisfy legal, tax and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR. To exercise any right, contact us at aisumobiji@gmail.com or via the contact form. Note we may need to retain records required by law even after a deletion request.
8. Contact & changes
